The History of DUC Learning Center
The DUC Learning Center was founded in the early 2000s by Ophelia Lucas, a single mother raising her two sons. Recognizing a pressing need for additional educational support, she observed firsthand the challenges that students faced in the traditional schooling system and envisioned a place where children could receive the guidance they needed to succeed. This idea blossomed into the DUC Learning Center, which was officially established as a non-profit organization in 2014.
Since its inception, the center has experienced remarkable growth, expanding from just two initial students to over 200 students today. This success reflects the center’s commitment to providing tailored educational support. We are proud to be registered with the California Department of Education as a private certified school, ensuring compliance with the highest educational standards.
